Resources for Middle School Language Arts: (2009-2010)

That Quiz - Great little web utility for assessments. Create a class, upload a roster and you're in business. Teachers can create their own assessments or choose from the large pool of quizzes available. The strength of this resource is simplicity. Great for formative assessments.

Editing Student Writing in Word 2003 - A quick easy way to edit documents created with 2003 version of Microsoft Word is to use the insert comment feature found under the Insert Menu. In most cases using insert comment will activate the Reviewing Toolbar which has useful edit features. This toolbar can also be turned on by accessing Toolbars under the Insert Menu.

Wikispaces - Wikispaces is a great resource but middle school teachers are reminded to carefully read your district's AUP before using this resource. Content placed on wikispaces can be seen openly on the Internet. Wikispaces offers private label sites for a relatively small fee. This allows you to limit access to student content.
